Job description

Location: Gold Beach, OR

Janitors are the foundation of Bay Area Enterprises. Each Janitor represents BAE while performing their duties at each jobsite. It is vital he or she is professional, pays attention to detail, and take pride in his or her work. BAE Janitors are dedicated to providing the highest quality cleaning service.

In addition, the Janitor has the following responsibilities:

  • Perform general janitorial duties such as clean restrooms and empty trash.
  • Follow safety procedures including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Understand and apply health and sanitization standards, follow safe waste disposal procedures and use of cleaning solvents.
  • Operate and maintain janitorial cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, polishers and equipment carts.
  • Maneuver heavy objects utilizing safe lifting and moving techniques.
  • Perform routine, repetitive actions such as sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Use appropriate stain removal techniques in cleaning.
  • Recognize public safety hazards.
  • Read and understand operating, policy and procedure manuals.
  • Attend monthly and department training meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned to ensure that the department and organizational strategic goals and mission are met.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and / or reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass federal, state, and local background checks
  • Must pass drug screen (THC testing not included) to include random drug testing
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and engage in moderate physical labor
