Job description

New Orleans, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Manual Machinist to operate manual machining equipment in a shop environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with milling machines and manual lathes while maintaining precision, safety, and quality standards.

Essential Duties:
• Operate manual milling machines to produce precision-machined parts
• Run manual lathes to cut, shape, and finish metal components
• Operate both vertical and horizontal milling machines as required for production
• Read and interpret work instructions and basic machining specifications
• Ensure parts meet required tolerances and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while operating machinery
• Inspect finished components and perform basic quality checks
• Assist with general shop duties and equipment upkeep as needed

Requirements/Skills:
• Experience operating manual milling machines
• Experience running manual lathes
• Ability to operate both vertical and horizontal milling machines
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
