Job description

Dickens Quality Demolition is seeking an experienced Demolition Superintendent to oversee field operations on multiple demolition projects. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications while providing leadership and support to Foremen and field crews.
Demolition experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage field operations for multiple demolition projects simultaneously.
  • Lead and support Foremen to ensure safe, efficient, and productive job sites.
  • Monitor project schedules, manpower, equipment, budgets, quality, and production.
  • Review project documents including plans, specifications, asbestos reports, bid summaries, and project scope.
  • Identify and communicate scope changes, change orders, T&M work, and project risks to the Project Manager.
  • Conduct regular project walks to verify work is being completed according to contract documents.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and project logistics.
  • Attend project meetings with owners, general contractors, and subcontractors as needed.
  • Complete daily AM status reports and weekly project updates.
  • Ensure accurate daily reports, T&M tickets, and project documentation are completed on time.
  • Perform project closeout walks with clients to ensure contract completion.
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate Foremen while promoting accountability, leadership, and a strong safety culture.
  • Participate in employee training and leadership development initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of demolition experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Previous experience managing multiple crews and projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Thorough understanding of demolition means and methods, scheduling, and project execution.
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Procore experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
