Job description

Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing and engineering, is seeking a Engineering CAD Designer to join their team. As a Engineering CAD Designer, you will be part of the Factory Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engineering CAD Designer

Location: Glendale, AZ
Part Time 2-3 days per week 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

What's the Job?

  • Utilize AutoCAD 2025 to develop preliminary designs and drafting support for factory engineering projects.
  • Assist in preparing supporting documents for capital investment proposals in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Create industrial drawings for equipment tooling, layouts, process flow sheets, P&IDs, and fabrication details using AutoCAD 2D, 3D, and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Support the organization and archiving of engineering drawings and manuals in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Manage small building improvement projects and support factory operations through technical documentation and design support.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D and Autodesk Inventor, with 4-6 years of industrial design experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting Early Management principles and working within a TPM environment is advantageous.
  • Strong drafting, documentation, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively.
