Job description

NewGen Mission Support LLC is expanding our network of professional Mandarin-English Interpreters for in-person assignments throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are seeking dependable, professional interpreters interested in flexible contract opportunities across legal, immigration, medical, business, government, nonprofit, and community settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and impartial Mandarin-English interpretation.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and English- or Mandarin-speaking parties.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
  • Arrive on time and remain available for the scheduled duration of each assignment.
  • Follow assignment-specific instructions and promptly report completion to our coordination team.
Qualifications
  • Professional fluency in Mandarin and English.
  • Prior professional interpreting experience preferred.
  • Legal, court, USCIS, medical, government, or community interpreting experience is a plus.
  • Court, medical, administrative hearing, or other professional interpreter credentials are highly valued but not required for every assignment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual.
  • Must be able to accept in-person assignments in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Job Type: Independent Contractor / As-Needed

Schedule: Flexible; assignments offered based on availability

Compensation: Varies by assignment, experience, qualifications, and certifications
