The Role

Your role
In the Data Center Management role, you will lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of data center facilities that support critical customer environments. This role focuses on day-to-day operational excellence, facilities readiness, and coordination across technical and facilities teams to ensure availability, performance, and compliance. Success is measured through uptime, incident prevention, audit readiness, and the consistent delivery of operational outcomes aligned to customer requirements.
What you will do

  • Manage daily data center operations including power, cooling, space, and environmental controls

  • Oversee preventive maintenance and operational procedures to maintain availability and resilience

  • Coordinate facility activities with infrastructure, network, storage, and platform teams

  • Lead incident response for facilities related events and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements across the data center

  • Manage vendor performance for facilities services and maintenance activities

  • Plan and track capacity for power, cooling, and floor space based on demand forecasts

  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and audit evidence

  • Support customer engagements by translating availability and performance requirements into operational actions

Required skills and experience

  • Experience managing or supporting data center or critical facilities operations

  • Hands on experience with power, cooling, fire suppression, and environmental monitoring systems

  • Experience managing incidents, change activities, and maintenance windows in a 24x7 environment

  • Ability to coordinate cross functional teams during operational events and planned activities

  • Experience working with external vendors and service providers for facilities operations

  • Knowledge of data center safety, security, and compliance standards

  • Ability to use operational metrics to monitor performance and drive improvements


Preferred skills and experience

  • Experience supporting customer facing or managed services environments

  • Familiarity with capacity planning and lifecycle management for data center facilities

  • Experience preparing for and supporting internal or external audits

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure dependencies within data center environments

  • Certification or training related to data center operations or facilities management

Salary: $138,320 - $188,320

The above represents Kyndryl's pay range for this role.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role. The range provided reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Kyndryl's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.


This position requires the employee to work on a regular basis with Kyndryl stakeholders located in other Canadian provinces, the United States, or internationally where English is the common language, making knowledge of the English language a requirement for this position in addition to fluency in French.
