Laundry Attendant - Full Time
Provides laundry services for the residents of the community.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Picks up laundry from residents rooms ensuring all items are identifiable and sorted according to the proper resident.
  • Sorts, washes, dries, folds and hangs laundry according to community's procedures.
  • Irons as required, according to community's procedures.
  • Returns clean laundry to proper residents room.
  • Maintains confidentiality of residents personal information in and out of the community and protects and supports residents rights.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for the residents, families, vendors, and guests.
  • Maintains a positive customer service environment and practices honesty and integrity in all aspects of performance.
  • Attends all scheduled in-services and training sessions.
  • Ensures adequate daily coverage for meal service by communicating with the Culinary Services Director and/or Host/Hostess, to include taking resident orders for meals, providing drink refills according to residents' / guests' requests, assists with the cleaning, resetting and preparation of the dining room in-between mealtimes.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic laundry experience needed.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements: Light physical effort required to handle object up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently. Must be able to bend, stoop, and handle bulky objects.
