Job description

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Emergency Management SME opportunity in Carlsbad, NM to support the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).
The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is the nation's only permanent nuclear waste repository for defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste generated from Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. Waste is permanently isolated over 2,000 feet underground in deep salt beds.
Position Overview:
  • Assist Emergency Management in the development of the triennial revision to the WIPP Emergency Planning Hazards Survey
  • Provide an overview/training to EM staff on the development of EPHS documents in accordance with DOE requirements
  • Develop for Company EM approval the triennial revision to WP 12-RP.01, WIPP Emergency Planning Hazards Survey
  • Present an overview to the EM staff on the development and maintenance of all-hazards survey documents

Qualifications:
  • Emergency Management SME experienced in development and management of EM programs in the DOE complex
  • Expertise in developing emergency management technical basis documents, i.e., all-hazards survey.
