divh2Cast Transportation WIPP Drivers/h2pCast Transportation is looking to add drivers to our specialty WIPP fleet./ppCast Specialty was established in 2003, as a dedicated fleet to the Department of Energy (DOE) Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP)./ppCast Specialty has completed its fifth (5th) consecutive five-year contract and has recently been awarded its unprecedented sixth (6th). We have just begun our 26th year!/ppRequirements:/pulliMust be an American Citizen./liliMust be a Haz-mat driver willing to run Teams./liliThe Cast driver qualification plan is intended to meet or exceed the requirements concerning transportation safety, including 49 CFR, Parts 171-177, 382, 383, 390-399. Drivers shall meet or exceed licensing, training and physical qualification requirements as set forth in 49 CFR, Part 172.700, Training 49 CFR Parts 382, 383, 390-397 and the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986, and amendments./liliDrivers must be at least 25 years of age./liliDriver has logged a minimum of 100,000 miles per year in two of the last five years in a commercial semi-tractor trailer combination over-the-road operation or has logged a minimum of 325,000 miles in five years.

(A DOE waiver may apply for Drivers already on, or previously on, the DOE WIPP qualified drivers list)/liliThe driver has not received a chargeable incident or been convicted of a moving violation in a commercial vehicle within the last five years./liliDrivers driving history for the past five years in a private vehicle has been reviewed and documented./liliDriver does not have repeated chargeable incidents, repeated moving violation convictions or a single DWI or DUI in a private or commercial motor vehicle in the last 10 years./liliThe driver has not been convicted of a felony, as verified by the state of residence./li/ulpDrivers must live within a reasonable distance (preferably within 200 miles) from the Carlsbad terminal in order to meet the Contract requirement of accommodating delivery of one or more tractor(s) and driving team(s) within a 4-hour notice as scheduled by DOE./p/div
