Job description

Are you a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant looking to join a supportive and dynamic dental team? Water's Edge Dental is seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in general dentistry to be a key part in our growing practice.

What are we looking for?

We are searching for a reliable, detail oriented Dental Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing top-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be familiar with medical documentation and preferably experienced with Dentrix dental software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
  • Manage patient records accurately, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Perform basic dental procedures as directed by the dentist, such as taking impressions or applying sealants.
  • Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images for evaluation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient experiences.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is required.
  • Familiarity with dental receptionist duties, including scheduling and managing appointments.
  • Knowledge of coding, medical records management, and documentation processes is beneficial.
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using dental technology such as 3D scanners and imaging equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
