About the Company

The company is one of the largest Midwestern contractord specializing in the restoration of aging structures and the waterproofing of new construction. Its project portfolio spans complex below-grade waterproofing for large industrial facilities, high-rise commercial weatherproofing, bridge protection, and the delicate restoration of historic structures.

About the Position

The company is seeking a Regional Director to lead its Cleveland office and broader Ohio operations. This is a senior leadership opportunity to build upon a strong and profitable platformnot a turnaround. The region has a capable team, a solid backlog extending into 2026, and approximately $15M in annual revenue, with a workforce of 5060 during peak seasons.

The Regional Director will have full accountability for the region's performance, including sales growth, operations, financial results, talent development, and client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to run an autonomous business unit while leveraging the resources, reputation, and expertise of a well-established national organization.

The Regional Director will lead a team of Project Managers, Estimators, Project Engineers, Superintendents, a Warehouse Manager, and Administrative staff, and will oversee union field labor represented by Bricklayers, Laborers, Cement Masons, Roofers, and Operating Engineers.

This role requires a hands-on, visible leader who can drive growth, mentor talent, strengthen client relationships, and uphold the company's high standards for execution and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with progressive leadership responsibility
  • Career experience spanning field operations, project management, estimating, scheduling, and customer interface
  • Direct experience in faade restoration, concrete restoration, and/or commercial waterproofing strongly preferred
  • Proven success leading a P&L-driven regional or business unit operation
  • Experience working with unionized trades and demonstrated knowledge of labor agreements and practices
  • Strong construction business acumen with a clear understanding of cost drivers, margins, and profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, build pipelines, and grow regional revenue
  • Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, operations, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent industry experience with demonstrated advancement will be considered in lieu of a degree
