DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Cemplex Group Waterproofing position is responsible for correctly installing sheet metal flashing, self-adhering membrane, liquid mastic, and correctly waterproofing balconies to manufacturer standards, with out leaks.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform work in a manner that is consistent with our ICOMPEL Values
  • Install waterproofing in corridors and on balconies before pouring Concrete.
  • Finish concrete that meets job and quality requirements
  • Waterproof balconies in a manner that is consistent with quality standards
  • Fall Safety standards must be observed whenever working near edges higher than 6โ€™.
  • Assure job site standards are maintained while work is being performed
  • Perform work in accordance with foreman and project managers guidance
  • Perform other duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Ability to perform basic math such as subtraction and addition
  • Ability to receive guidance and training from experienced team members
  • Ability to work effectively on teams
  • Ability to manage equipment and tools with the appropriate care
  • Float and finish concrete with a broom texture and smooth towel finish.
  • Cut in perpendicular control joints to finished product.
  • Ability to use basic power tools.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Mechanical background is preferred
  • 1 year of Concrete Finisher or Waterproofing experience preferred
  • Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required for this position.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Climb, crawl, and walk while carrying or operating machinery and tools upstairs, downstairs, and over potentially uneven surfaces.
  • Lift, pull, push, and carry 80 lbs. of weight intermittently.
  • Ability to identify safety hazards and communicate effectively with others.
  • Sustain the stamina to perform manual labor outdoors, exposed to the elements, vibrations, loud noises, offensive smells, dust, dirt, and water in all seasons, including extreme temperatures.
  • Safely perform work on balconies and other elevated areas with appropriate safety gear.
  • Distinguish between different colors.
  • Bend, squat, twist, and reach in various positions as the situation dictates.
  • Overnight travel may be required within 3 hours of the main office location. Accommodations and daily per diem are employer provided.
