VP of Finance & Business Manager# VP of Finance & Business ManagerACT-BML - Waco, TX 76708## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeCategoryExecutive## DescriptionThe Vice President, Finance and Business Manager serves as the senior finance leader and strategic business partner for the Proprietary Engine Upgrades business segment. This role provides financial leadership and business guidance to executive leadership, driving profitability, operational performance, cash flow, and long-term growth through financial planning, analysis, forecasting, performance management, and strategic decision support. Partnering closely with the President of Proprietary Engine Upgrades, CFO, CEO, and functional leaders acrossoperations, engineering, supply chain, sales, and program management, the Vice President translates financial and operational data into actionable business insights, strengthens financial controls and governance, supports contract and pricing decisions, and leads continuous process improvement to deliver scalable, high-performing financial operations aligned with the Company's "One Finance" strategy.**Essential Functions*** Lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial performance of the business segment. Provide strategic financial guidance to business and functional leaders while supporting corporate reporting requirements.* Lead the finance function by developing organizational capability, driving accountability, strengthening succession, and ensuring the team delivers accurate financial reporting, sound financial controls, and strategic business support.* Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership to improve business performance, profitability, capital allocation, pricing strategy, and operational execution.* Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable financial reporting while identifying opportunities to improve business performance.* Partner with Corporate FP&A to develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting for revenue, bookings, backlog, margins, working capital, cash flow, inventory, and STC program performance.* Partner with leaders across program management, operations, engineering, supply chain, contracts, quality, and sales to improve margins, optimize cost structures, increase operational efficiency, assess contract risks, and identify growth opportunities.* Manage and forecast cash flow, working capital, inventory valuation, operating expenses, and financial risks to support business objectives.* Partner with Corporate and manage Centralized Accounting to strengthen financial controls, policies, governance, approval processes, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.* Support pricing strategy, proposal development, contract reviews, audits, tax compliance, lender and investor reporting, and Board reporting requirements.* Lead continuous process improvement initiatives and financial standardization across Proprietary Upgrades and other business segments in support of the Company's "One Finance" strategy.* Serve as the senior finance leader and trusted business partner to the President of Proprietary Engine Upgrades, Vice President of Blackhawk Engine Exchange, CFO, and other senior leaders by providing strategic financial leadership, decision support, and organizational direction.**Job Qualifications**EDUCATION* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus.PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE* 7+ years of progressive finance, accounting, FP&A, program finance, cost accounting, or business management experience, including experience leading finance teams and serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership.* Experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, space, advanced manufacturing, or a similarly complex engineered-products environment strongly preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES* Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, program performance reviews, margin analysis, and performance management.* Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory controls, manufacturing finance, revenue recognition, cash management, internal controls, and business operations.* Experience partnering with executive leadership, sales, program/engineering management, quality, supply chain, and external consultants/advisors.* Proven ability to build scalable financial processes, improve reporting discipline, implement operational improvements, and support systems maturity in a growth environment.* Advanced financial modeling, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.* Experience with ERP, system implementations, accounting, reporting, and business intelligence systems preferred.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS* Travel Required: Yes; intermittent* % of Travel Time: 5-15% #J-18808-Ljbffr
