Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with periodic in-person engagements at our hospice center as needed. Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of assigned clients, utilizing evidence-based screening tools to determine mental health needs.
• Formulating and implementing individualized care plans that connect clients with necessary resources and enhance their treatment journey.
• Providing a range of therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, ensuring each client’s unique presenting problems are addressed.
• Engaging in crisis intervention efforts when necessary, utilizing your clinical skills to manage acute emotional distress.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes through shared knowledge and practices.
• Monitoring client progress through regular follow-ups, documenting treatment sessions, and maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Participating in continual professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in social work and mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who suffer from major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. Your commitment to serving underprivileged communities means you will encounter a diverse clientele, each with unique backgrounds, beliefs, and psychosocial needs. Understanding and approaching these clients with sensitivity and respect is paramount to fostering trust and effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• Expert knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies relevant to mental health care.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to express complex ideas clearly.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities that enable you to manage a caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred. Experience in providing therapy within diverse populations, including but not limited to individuals coping with chronic illness and those in hospice or palliative care, will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
