Job description

Great Plains Communications is looking for a self-driven sales professional with excellent communication skills and a proven sales track record to fill the position of Residential Account Executive. 

This position will sell Great Plains Communications’ suite of residential services—including fiber-based home internet, video streaming solutions, and home phone—to customers in targeted residential neighborhoods across Nebraska, Indiana, Colorado, and other areas as assigned.  Will utilize computer and reporting tools.  Will meet sales targets and other metrics.  Will professionally represent GPC.  Will work with other GPC teams.  Will travel to assigned territory.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Executes GPC’s residential sales plan as assigned by management.

Operates in assigned neighborhoods based on company-provided schedules, which will evolve as network deployment progresses and market priorities shift.

Canvasses assigned residential neighborhoods to promote and sell GPC’s internet, video, and phone services.

Engages prospective customers directly at their homes.

Educates prospective customers on product features, benefits, and pricing.

Effectively manages and converts leads to sales using persuasive, consultative techniques.

Attends community events as directed by management and engages with community members in a positive way that promotes GPC and our products and services.

Follows up on all sales prospects during and after events.

Maintains daily records of contacts, outcomes, and follow-up needs.

Uses CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to log activities, leads, and results.

Meets or exceeds established sales targets and performance metrics.

Represents GPC in a professional, friendly, and solutions-oriented manner.

Travels within assigned territory as directed by management, including overnight stays as necessary.

Regularly works evenings and weekends to align with residential customer availability.

Rotates territory assignment as directed by management.

Operates and maintains company vehicle within GPC guidelines.

Maintains possession of a valid driver’s license.

High School diploma or equivalent work experience

Sales certification preferred

1-3 years of direct, face-to-face sales experience in telecommunications or a related technical field

For CO applicants the base salary is $60k plus commission.
