Role Overview
The Video Content Producer helps The Cross Church communicate the vision, mission and stories of life change through strategic communication, creative storytelling, and engaging media production. This person leads the planning, creation, and execution of content across digital, video, social, and in-service platforms to help people connect with what God is doing through the church. This role combines communication strategy with hands-on video production and content creation. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller, strategic thinker, self-starter, and collaborative team member who can develop compelling messaging while also producing excellent visual content. This person should love the local church and understand the power of media to help people take next faith steps. They notice stories happening around them and instinctively think about how to communicate them effectively in a fast-moving creative culture that exists to spread Gods fame by making disciples of all people. The Video Content Producer reports to the Executive Campus Experience Pastor.

Monday Thursday 8AM to 5PM

MINISTRY HOURS
Evenings & Weekends
approximately 10 12 hours
The schedule for this position may vary and incur overtime depending upon weekend assignments and ministry events that occur in the evenings and on weekends.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Proactively identify and tell stories of life change, ministry impact, volunteer engagement, and church culture.
Produce engaging video content for worship services, social media, ministry promotions, events, campaigns, podcasts, and church-wide communication.
Capture high-quality video, audio, interviews, and photography as needed.
Edit videos with creativity, speed, emotional intelligence, and technical excellence.
Create short-form content optimized for modern digital platforms.
Assist with scripting, interview development, story structure, and creative concepts.
Produce sermon reels, announcement videos, recap videos, testimony videos, podcasts, and promotional content.
Help establish a proactive storytelling culture where meaningful stories are consistently discovered and shared.
Participate in planning meetings, creative discussions, and strategy sessions while contributing ideas and feedback.
Work closely with ministry leaders to plan and execute individualized video marketing and storytelling strategies.
Think strategically and creatively about how to communicate video messaging in innovative and mission-aligned ways.
Create and maintain a comprehensive content calendar that supports church priorities and ministry initiatives.
Organize and manage video footage libraries and deliverables.
Steward church resources with care, such as furniture, fixtures, equipment, supplies, and other resources.
Attend a worship service, staff meetings, department meetings and other meetings as needed.
Foster a cooperative, healthy, and motivating relationship with staff, volunteers, and church families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience and Critical Skills
Alignment with The Cross Churchs faith statement and mission to spread Gods fame by making disciples of all people.
Committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally.
Established pattern of Bible study and prayer.
Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to communicate vision clearly and creatively.
Experience in video production, editing, and digital content creation, 2 to 5+ years.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced ministry environment.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
Self-starting, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
Ability to think strategically while executing details with excellence.
Manage revisions efficiently and respond well to feedback.
Strong understanding of social media and modern communication platforms.
Experience with DaVinci Resolve (preferred), Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro.
Familiarity with Vimeo, Frame.io, Microsoft Office products, and shared team workflows.
Experience producing social media content, especially short-form, vertical video.
Experience filming interviews, podcasts, testimony videos, or documentary-style content.
Basic motion graphics and color grading experience.
Ability to work on-site and collaboratively as part of the church staff team.
Ability to use appropriate judgment in the areas of discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
The Cross Church membership is required.
Ability to speak, read and write English.
Sufficient good health to discharge duties properly.
Criminal, financial and sexual misconduct background checks are required.
