HR Solution Developer

Human Capital Management (HCM) Services

Position Summary

The HR Technology Solutions Lead serves as the primary technology partner for Human Resources and acts as the single technical point of contact for all HR Technology needs across the HCM Service Category. This role is responsible for end-to-end solution ownership, encompassing intake, solution design, architecture alignment, platform strategy, technical governance, delivery oversight, vendor coordination, and operational health. The Solutions Lead partners closely with HR functional leaders, platform owners, architects, cybersecurity, infrastructure, integration teams, and managed service providers to ensure technology solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards. The role spans a broad HR technology ecosystem including Workday, Cornerstone, Glint, ServiceNow HRSD, Varicent, OrgVue, integrations, identity management, reporting, workflow automation, and future HR technology platforms. The Solutions Lead does not function as a platform administrator; rather, they provide technical leadership and accountability across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Technology Leadership

  • Serve as the trusted technology advisor for HR leadership and COEs.
  • Translate business requirements into technology strategies and solution roadmaps.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and target-state architecture.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, automation opportunities, AI capabilities, and vendor offerings.
  • Drive technology simplification, standardization, and modernization initiatives.

Single Technical Point of Contact

  • Act as the front door for all HR technology requests requiring technical evaluation.
  • Provide clear ownership and coordination across HR, MT, architecture, security, infrastructure, and vendors.
  • Facilitate solution discussions from concept through implementation.
  • Resolve technical dependencies across platforms and teams.
  • Ensure stakeholders have a single accountable technical leader for complex initiatives.

Solution Architecture & Design Governance

  • Lead solution design efforts across the HCM technology portfolio.

  • Partner with Portfolio Management to evaluate incoming requests.
  • Participate in intake review, sizing, solution assessment, and prioritization activities.
  • Provide technical estimates and complexity assessments.
  • Identify architectural dependencies, constraints, and risks early.
  • Support quarterly planning and roadmap development.

This role helps enforce the "One Form. One Team. One Backlog." operating model for HR technology demand.

Integration & Data Strategy

  • Define integration patterns and standards across the HR technology ecosystem.
  • Oversee enterprise HR integrations and API strategies.
  • Ensure data movement complies with governance, security, privacy, and auditing requirements.
  • Drive simplification of the integration landscape and reduction of technical debt.
  • Partner with identity and access management teams to ensure secure end-to-end employee lifecycle processes.

Delivery & Vendor Management

  • Provide technical leadership for strategic projects and enhancements.
  • Review solution quality and architectural compliance throughout delivery.
  • Partner with AMS providers and implementation partners to ensure effective execution.
  • Participate in vendor selection, solution evaluations, and technical due diligence.
  • Govern delivery quality, technical debt remediation, and production readiness.

Service Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor platform health, performance, security posture, and technical risks.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for major incidents.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for:

    • Vendor performance
