  • Work with Configuration Manager to ensure integrity of data structures, workflows, and system integrations including management of master product data and part creation, modification, and obsolescence. Ensure alignment of product data with ERP systems (e.g., SAP item setup and maintenance), PDM/PLM systems, and downstream processes.
  • Initiate cross-functional projects for product data standardization, systems optimization, and engineering efficiency improvements.
  • Manage engineering activity for NPD projects from concept through production implementation, generating product requirements and design targets in accordance with applicable standards and codes. Develop design strategy and concepts, plan prototyping and testing, and create design history file documentation.
  • Support sustaining engineering through product improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and resolution of production or field issues. Provide support for operations with quality or manufacturing issues on launched product as necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure design outputs meet customer, quality, cost, and manufacturability targets. Periodically reports out on design development and timing.
  • Lead or support projects related to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and import/export compliance including material identification, labeling, and product marking requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain product specifications, certifications documentation, and regulatory declarations. Provide technical product details to support development of marketing assets.
  • Provide guidance and work supervision for other technical personnel.
  • Support ISO 9001 compliance and participate in audit readiness activities.
