Job description

Travel Risk Specialist - Level I (Night Shift)

Position Description

The Travel Risk Specialist — Level I is an entry-level operational role on the GRS dedicated client account team. This position supports the coordination of security and travel risk operations under the guidance of Level II Specialists and team leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and able to manage structured tasks with a high degree of accuracy. This role provides an excellent foundation for building expertise in corporate travel risk, security operations coordination, and client service delivery in a fast-paced, high-standards environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination of risk operations for clients under the direction of Level II Specialists and team leadership.
  • Assist in coordinating with internal teams and external partners as directed.
  • Support planning and execution of security and risk management solutions for on-site and off-site meetings and events.
  • Assist with arranging security services and transportation for client travel, following established procedures and SOPs.
  • Support special projects by assisting with the implementation of security precautions as directed.
  • Assist in contributing to contingency planning and business continuity documentation.
  • Perform administrative duties involving sensitive and confidential material with discretion.
  • Maintain accurate records within systems used for tracking and reporting logistical activities.
  • Work alongside team leaders and Level II Specialists to learn departmental needs, workflows, and client goals.
  • Identify and surface operational problems or anomalies to Level II Specialists for resolution.
  • Observe and document processes to support identification of inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Follow and help maintain operational guides to ensure consistency of service delivery.
  • Apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) consistently; flag gaps or unclear guidance to senior team members.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts and assist in executing controls to minimize service disruptions.
  • Adhere to client company policies and applicable industry regulations.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting against key performance indicators (KPIs) under team guidance.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in travel coordination, security operations support, logistics, client services, or a related field; relevant internship or academic experience accepted.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a professional and responsive communication style.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Detail-oriented with a foundational aptitude for problem identification and follow-through.
  • Able to work effectively within a team structure and take direction from senior team members.
  • Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving operational environment.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Business, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience or demonstrated interest in the field considered.
