Position Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective, safe, secure, and cost-efficient management of Atlas Energy Solutions facilities across all company locations. Based in Austin and reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this role serves as the enterprise owner for facilities operations, standards, maintenance, workplace services, vendor performance, and facility-related projects.

This position will work cross-functionally with Safety, IT, Procurement, and business leaders to ensure Atlas facilities are appropriately maintained, secure, operationally effective, and capable of supporting the company's continued growth. The Facilities Manager will establish consistent standards and processes across the organization while recognizing the unique requirements of Atlas'scorporate, field, and operational locations.

The role will also provide centralized oversight of facility vendors and service providers, partnering with Procurement on sourcing, contracting, pricing, and vendor strategy while maintaining accountability for day-to-day vendor performance and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate facilities operations across all Atlas locations, including corporate offices, field offices, operational facilities, and other company-controlled properties.
  • Establish and maintain consistent enterprise facilities standards, processes, and service expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for facility-related issues, requests, and projects.
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs and schedules for building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, renovations, office moves, expansions, and other facility improvement projects.
  • Maintain visibility into facility condition, capacity, utilization, and upcoming maintenance or capital needs.
  • Support the evaluation, opening, expansion, relocation, consolidation, and closure of facilities as business needs evolve.
  • Conduct routine site visits and facility assessments to identify risks, maintenance requirements, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop mechanisms to track facility requests, projects, recurring issues, and corrective actions through completion.
Safety, Security & Emergency Preparedness
  • Partner closely with the Safety team to ensure facilities support Atlas safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Safety to conduct periodic facility and physical security audits and risk assessments across Atlas locations.
  • Maintain centralized tracking of findings from security and facility audits and ensure corrective actions are assigned, documented, escalated as necessary, and completed.
  • Coordinate physical security infrastructure and services, including access controls, cameras, alarms, visitor management, locks, and security vendors, in partnership with Safety and IT.
  • Support emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, business continuity, and other facility-related response protocols.
  • Identify and escalation facility, safety, and physical security risks to the appropriate functional leaders.
  • Help ensure vendors and contractors working at Atlas facilities comply with applicable site safety and security requirements.
IT & Workplace Infrastructure
  • Partner with IT to coordinate technology infrastructure requirements for new facilities, expansions, relocations, renovations, and office changes.
  • Ensure facility projects appropriately account for network connectivity, conference room technology, access control systems, cabling, equipment rooms, and other workplace technology requirements.
  • Coordinate facility access and scheduling for IT vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Partner with IT and Safety on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of technology-enabled physical security systems.
  • Ensure facilities planning considers future technology, connectivity, and infrastructure needs rather than addressing requirements after construction or facility decisions have been made.
  • Partner with Procurement to source, evaluate, select, contract, and manage facility-related vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure facility vendors follow Atlas procurement, contracting, insurance, safety, security, and onboarding requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and monitor service levels, responsiveness, quality, cost, and overall performance.
  • Partner with Procurement to identify opportunities to consolidate vendors, negotiate enterprise agreements, improve service levels, and reduce unnecessary facility costs.
  • Establish appropriate service-level expectations and performance measures for key facilities vendors.
  • Validate services performed and support appropriate invoice review and approval processes.
  • Maintain visibility into key vendor contracts, renewal dates, service requirements, and performance.
  • Address vendor performance issues and partner with Procurement on corrective action, renegotiation, or replacement when appropriate.
  • Develop and manage facilities operating budgets and forecasts in partnership with Finance and business leaders.
  • Monitor facility-related spending and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising safety, security, or operational effectiveness.
  • Support capital planning for major repairs, replacements, renovations, and other facility investments.
  • Develop reporting and metrics that provide leadership visibility into facility performance, costs, projects, risks, and service levels.
  • Maintain accurate facility records, including leases, floor plans, vendor information, maintenance schedules, inspection records, warranties, and other relevant documentation.
  • Identify recurring facility issues and develop sustainable solutions rather than relying on repeated short-term fixes.
Workplace Experience
  • Ensure Atlas workplaces are professional, functional, safe, secure, and appropriately maintained for employees, visitors, customers, and business partners.
  • Coordinate workplace needs including furniture, signage, common areas, conference rooms, supplies, parking, and other facility-related services.
  • Partner with local leaders to understand evolving workplace and operational needs while maintaining appropriate enterprise standards.
  • Support company events, leadership meetings, and other activities requiring facility or workplace coordination.
  • Establish clear mechanisms for employees and leaders to report facility issues and ensure requests are addressed in a timely manner.
Facilities Projects & Growth
  • Coordinate facility-related projects from initial business need through planning, execution, and completion.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors on facility buildouts, renovations, expansions, and relocations.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communication for significant facility initiatives.
  • Ensure Safety, IT, Procurement, and other key stakeholders are engaged early in facility planning and decision-making.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to ensure facility projects meet operational requirements and identified issues are resolved.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, workplace operations, property management, construction, or a related function.
  • Experience managing multiple facilities or geographically dispersed locations stronglypreferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors, service providers, budgets, and facility projects.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, physical security, workplace safety, and facility operations.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Safety/EHS, IT, Procurement, Finance, and operational teams.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance planned initiatives with urgent operational needs and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate cost, risk, service, and operational tradeoffs.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growing organization where processes and infrastructure continue to evolve.
