Office Administrator

Location: Clinton Township, MI, 48036

Pay: $17–$19/hour, based on experience

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k

Schedule: 40 or 50 hours per week

Industry: Military amp; Defense Manufacturing

Start Date: Immediate

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and computer-savvy Office Administrator to support the administrative and Quality functions within a military and defense manufacturing environment.

This position will work closely with the Quality team to maintain documentation, assist with paperwork, organize records, and support the review and preparation of customer-supplied engineering drawings. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office, and has strong attention to detail.

This is an immediate opening created by the promotion of the current employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scan, organize, and electronically save company and quality-related documents
  • Create, edit, maintain, and organize digital files and records
  • Assist the Quality team with completing and maintaining required paperwork
  • Assist with ballooning customer-supplied engineering drawings for quality inspection and documentation purposes
  • Work with spreadsheets to track and maintain information
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Use Adobe software to view, edit, and manage technical documents and drawings
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation
  • Provide general administrative support to the Quality and manufacturing teams
  • Follow company procedures for document control and record keeping
Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills and comfortable working with multiple software programs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Comfortable creating, editing, saving, and organizing electronic files
  • Experience working with spreadsheets
  • Comfortable using Adobe Acrobat/Adobe products
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle technical documentation accurately
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Experience or familiarity with customer-supplied engineering/manufacturing drawings is a plus
  • Previous manufacturing, quality, or defense industry experience is a plus but not required
Schedule Options

Candidates may choose one of the following schedules:

  • 6:30 AM–4:30 PM – 50 hours/week
  • 8:30 AM–4:30 PM – 40 hours/week
  • 6:30 AM–2:30 PM – 40 hours/week

Important: Employees must select their schedule upon hire. Once selected, the schedule cannot be changed.
