We are looking for an experienced Overnight Cocktail Server to join our team at Miccosukee Casino & Resort. Miccosukee Casino & Resort is expanding, with completed projects including a new Smoking Room & Bar, a High Limit Slots area, and a VIP Lounge, all designed to enhance the guest experience. Future plans include a lazy river and water park, an over 2,000 capacity entertainment venue, and renovated hotel rooms to become a top South Florida destination.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate in English, Spanish is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Good working knowledge of spirits, wine, and related beverage item.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays and weekends.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to frequently move freely about the property, withstand various activities such as frequent walking, and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
  • Must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays and weekends
  • Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke
  • Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned
  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, receive direction, and provide feedback when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner.
  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness
  • Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Overnight Cocktail Server is to interact with customers by taking their orders, making recommendations, providing them with accurate bills, serving them food and drinks, processing payments, and supplying them with whatever they need in a timely manner. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Tribal Gaming Agency policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Adhere to the Miccosukee Service Expectations and ensure team compliance.
  • Greet guests in a friendly, positive manner and make them feel at home.
  • Exhibit selling techniques cum proper knowledge, and service delivery of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Inform guests about the hotel's facilities.
  • Bid guests farewell by using guestโ€™s name when known, and inviting them to come back.
  • Greet guests in a friendly, positive manner and make them feel at home.
  • Interact with customers by taking their orders, making recommendations, providing them with accurate bills.
  • Utilize silent service approach and maintain a clean environment.
  • Itemize bills correctly and secure payment as required.
  • Bid guests farewell by using guestโ€™s name when known, and inviting them to come back.
  • Replace inserts, clean menu covers, and maintain professional appearance of the area.
  • Answer telephones in service areas.
  • Direct calls where necessary.
  • Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times and to observe the Companyโ€™s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. This is a smoking environment.
