Position Description:

Employees in this job function are responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient operations of physical or virtual servers, private cloud, networks (including telecommunication), PCs, and other business critical infrastructure components. They oversee the technology infrastructure that supports the business and support internal users in troubleshooting and escalating issues that impact system health. They are also responsible for setting up user systems and operating systems. Key Responsibilities 1. Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, mainframes, telecommunication network and virtualization platforms. 2. Collaborate with the security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls,. 3. Configure and maintain networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS and wireless access points, to support seamless communication within trusted corporate and with untrusted external networks. 4. Establish and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity during system failures or following malicious threats. 5. Monitor usage patterns of enterprise systems to identify potential issues like SLA metrics and proactively resolve them to ensure the continued availability and reliability of critical systems . 6. Analyze system capacity and performance trends to anticipate future infrastructure needs and provide recommendations for investment prioritizations, as necessary. 7. Perform routine network maintenance & system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes & enhancements. 8. Design and implement IaC scripts and automated processes to reduce manual intervention and enhance repeatability and testability of infrastructure modifications. 9. Troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues that are escalated by tech support teams and ensure resolutions are documented and added to the organization's knowledge repository 10. Set-up and configure user systems, including installing and configuring operating systems, software applications, and hardware devices

• Support a multi-shift operation in a manufacturing plant. o Must be able to work on site with flexible hours in support a multi-shift operation and support weekend production when necessary. • Provide technical support (I.T. Applications, Infrastructure, operating systems, end-user-productivity tools) to plant business customers throughout the manufacturing plant. • Interface with corporate IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts. • Support Plant Floor Systems / Corporate teams in resolving incidents; Provide triage and execute business continuity plans, support escalations, provide hands and feet to support teams and other global teams (e.g. DBA, Server Operations, Ops Control, Network Operations) if necessary. • Focus on the integration / long term maintenance of applications and hardware. • Assist site IT manager with managing assignments and workload. • Develop, maintain, and share, accurate support documentation. • Support of local network equipment in a Cisco based environment. • Support of local servers across both physical and virtual environments in a Windows and Linux based ecosystem. • Support of Factory of Tomorrow deployments and expansion efforts utilizing IIOT, iOS, software-defined network, mobile, and Android based equipment.
