Job Description

Reporting to Director, Global Medical Operations & Capabilities, the Manager, Technology Operations will partner with cross-functional teams to drive complex projects that support GSO's strategic objectives. This role will aid in facilitating and leading the collaboration efforts needed for the successful deployment, maintenance, and enhancements of reporting solutions. This role will be a data champion which includes providing the correct data and business rules across several MHI partners. They will promote effective communication between the groups and ensure collaboration between business and technical partners.  

Responsibilities

  • Partner with MHI business leaders and functional teams to define dashboard, reporting, and KPI requirements across multiple areas. 

  • Translate business needs into clear requirements for development partners and vendors and help shape practical technology and data solutions. 

  • Manage the development team and external vendors to deliver reporting tools, dashboard enhancements, and related light development work. 

  • Own the KPI library, including governance of definitions, business rules, and data sources to ensure consistency and usability across the organization. 

  • Support reporting and analytics requests from internal customers, providing responsive issue resolution and guidance on data interpretation and tool usage. 

  • Monitor project milestones, dependencies, follow-ups, and deliverables to ensure commitments are met, and expectations are managed. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve dashboards, reporting capabilities, and tools through innovative ideas and process enhancements. 

  • Maintain alignment with current MHI systems, business processes, data and applicable AbbVie policies and compliance requirements, including data privacy and related regulations. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Medical Affairs, IT, Legal, and OEC to support compliant, integrated reporting and omnichannel initiatives. 

  • Track utilization, adoption, and value metrics to measure performance and business impact of dashboards, reports, and related digital solutions. 

  • Maintain a global perspective while designing solutions that are easy to access, intuitive to use, and supportive of a strong employee and customer experience. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technical, scientific, or analytic discipline required.  

  • Advanced degree or extensive experience in operations and/or performance (commercial/customer/medical) excellence is highly desirable. 

  • 2-4 years of experience with key medical tools (i.e., Veeva CRM, Qlik and/or Foundry) or comparable experience required.  

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management or business transformation role, business technology support or technology implementation role. 

  • 6 years of experience as a business systems leader, or a technology consulting function.   

  • Experience in leading in a multi-task environment as well as in a virtual and matrix organization. 

  • Strong business acumen: ability to think strategically and translate a strategy to an innovative and implementable plan with global and cross-functional and departmental impact. 

  • Operations experience in a Medical Affairs or Commercial organization preferred. 

  • Excellent leadership, self-management, and organizational skills; able to manage workload, set personal and team priorities and adjust as needed; financial acumen competence. 

  • Demonstrated ability to set and execute on strategies with global and cross-functional and departmental impact. 

  • Strong business acumen: ability to think strategically and translate a strategy to an innovative and implementable plan. 

  • Global experience preferred.
