Job description

The Financial and IT Operations Manager serves a critical role in connecting financial strategy with IT operations. This position leads vendor relationships, oversees IT asset lifecycle management, and ensures accurate billing, reconciliation, and revenue reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen paired with operational and technical insight - driving accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across financial and IT systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned vendors, building strong, accountable partnerships
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, renewals, and service-level agreements
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Maintain organized contract documentation and correspondence
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities and recommend savings strategies
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding of vendors to ensure seamless transitions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams during system and service changes
  • Oversee contract transfers, billing setup, and continuity of services
  • Proactively mitigate financial and operational risks during vendor transitions
  • Support lifecycle management of IT assets (procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement)
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking systems and reconciliation processes
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure compliance standards are met
  • Partner with IT leadership to forecast equipment needs and refresh cycles
  • Review and reconcile vendor invoices for accuracy and contract alignment
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including revenue and expense analysis
  • Support budget development, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Analyze financial performance and provide clear, concise variance explanations;
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements to enhance financial accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, vendor management, IT asset management, or related roles
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Sage Intacct, or similar)
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with inventory tracking, IT procurement, or SaaS/vendor management preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills that focus on relationship building, effectiveness, and the desire to serve those that serve our residents
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
