BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of applicable project management experience successfully managing enterprise-level IT projects. Experience in heavily regulated industry such as defense or government contracting. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ServiceNow PPM Module). Expert level knowledge of multiple project management methodologies.

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical and executive audiences.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Level 4 IT Project Manager to lead our most complex, high-impact, and large-scale technology initiatives. As a Project Manager at HII, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with cross-functional partners across the company, business stakeholders, IT Management, enterprise resources, managed service providers, and vendors. You will act as a strategic orchestrator to deliver measurable business value. You will be responsible for defining project scope, developing detailed plans, managing cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and communicating progress to all stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects (such as cloud migrations, ERP implementations, or major infrastructure overhauls) on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, has a working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. This role bridges the gap between technical implementation and business impact-ensuring projects are aligned with strategic objectives.
