Responsibilities

The IT Business Operations Manager for the CGS Digital Solutions (IT) Department is responsible for planning, executing, and managing all IT-related sourcing and asset control activities. This role ensures full compliance with company policies and federal regulations while serving as the primary liaison between the IT Department and the centralized Supply Chain and Logistics teams. The Manager leads all aspects of sourcing, budgeting, vendor engagement & performance management, asset tracking, and lifecycle management, ensuring IT resources are acquired and maintained efficiently and strategically.

Qualifications

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for IT hardware, software, subscriptions, and servicesโ€”regardless of monetary value.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets across multiple cost centers. Facilitate monthly variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Draft requisitions, develop scopes of work, evaluate vendor proposals, and support contract administration in accordance with CGS and federal acquisition regulations.
  • Utilize CGS ERP/procurement (Oracle Fusion/IBM Maximo) systems to enter and track purchase orders, maintain vendor records, and ensure transparent documentation.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to ensure sourcing strategies align with CGSโ€™s procurement policies and project timelines.
  • Coordinate closely with Property Management to ensure proper tagging, tracking, reconciliation, and disposition of IT assets across CGS locations.
  • Participate in cross-functional planning meetings to communicate IT procurement needs and ensure unified, timely decision-making.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with IT suppliers and service providers to ensure consistent support, timely deliveries, and competitive pricing.
  • Guide and support IT team members through procurement procedures, system use, and documentation requirements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and identify process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and service quality.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets from acquisition through disposition across multiyear refresh strategies.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset records, coordinate inventory audits, and ensure compliance with CGS property control policies.
  • Oversee asset tagging, transfer documentation, and surplus processing, with a focus on audit readiness and data integrity.
  • Ensure all procurement and property processes align with FAR, DFARS, company internal controls, and applicable contractual obligations.

Accountable For:

  • Following CGS, LLC safety practices and workplace conduct standards.
  • Maintaining compliance with CGS policies, procedures, and operational protocols.
