Summary

Pulse Electronics / YAGEO is seeking a Technical Product Manager within the Detroit, MI area. This role will support the growth of our Automotive business across North America, working closely with customers and internal teams to identify new opportunities, support business development initiatives, and help drive product strategy. The Technical Product Manager will serve as an important connection between customer needs, market opportunities, and our technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of power magnetics—including inductors, transformers, chokes, and filters—within the Automotive business.
  • Respond promptly to customer and Sales needs, including product selection, technical questions, and application support.
  • Translate customer requirements, market trends, and competitive insights into actionable product opportunities.
  • Support new product design-in and validation for customer applications.
  • Manage new business opportunities through customer communications, onsite and virtual meetings, and the corporate Salesforce tool.
  • Coordinate with factories, R&D, Sales, and Marketing on customer trends, product capabilities, positioning, and sales materials.
  • Represent YAGEO at trade shows and industry events.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management and/or design engineering, preferably with a semiconductor company or with power supply design.
  • Experience in product marketing, project management, and business development.
  • Strong knowledge of magnetic theory; hands‑on transformer design experience preferred.
  • Power electronics background and familiarity with engineering or simulation tools preferred.
  • Ability to address customer technical questions with clear product, competitor, and pricing insights.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and proactive problem‑solving skills.
  • Collaborative, customer‑focused, and comfortable working across functions.
