Job Summary

The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring parts availability, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting efficient order fulfillment. This role focuses on reducing backorders, improving customer satisfaction, and coordinating supply chain operations across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Expedite parts and resolve availability or scheduling issues
  • Ensure high parts availability while optimizing inventory (including remanufactured parts)
  • Reduce customer backorders through proactive supply coordination
  • Monitor and manage high-visibility suppliers and critical parts
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure smooth order flow
  • Provide timely updates on part availability and order status
  • Prioritize tasks and manage workflows in a fast-paced environment
  • Utilize multiple systems and tools to track and manage supply chain activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of supply chain/inventory experience, OR
  • Associate’s degree + 3 years of experience, OR
  • High School diploma + 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Strong communication (written & verbal) and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience or willingness to learn Power BI
