This position is responsible for supporting a variety of sales and services related programs, initiatives, and analytics. Candidates for this role must have experience manipulating large sets of data to discover trends and make recommendations. The role will work cross-functionally with multiple departments including executive leadership, sales, marketing, finance, product, and data engineering to support the design, implementation and continued optimization of multiple business needs. This includes delivering data-driven insights to internal stakeholders to inform short and long term strategy and action plans. The ideal candidate will be able to recognize and understand the relationship between clean data, clear & efficient processes, and reporting. 

The Sr. Manager level position is expected to have an excellent understanding of the OpenTable Sales and Services organization, or the ability to learn. S/he must be able to navigate the roles, reporting, and reality of the business in the field. This position needs to have excellent communication, project management and data analysis skills and be comfortable building recommendations. Experience with Salesforce, reporting tools such as Preset, SQL queries, and a finance or analytics background required.

Responsibilities

  • Sophisticated analytics to support global Restaurant Sales and Services and Marketing decisions
  • Monitor and understand the health of the teams and markets by creating helpful reporting tools that derive action items and insights
  • Maintain and assure data quality in dashboards and reports for internal use
  • Align metrics used by RSS and Marketing teams to the other departments; collaborate with other departments to find an aligned source of truth
  • Prepare & present data analysis for audiences ranging from field sales members to senior leadership
  • Call out abnormalities and trends in data to identify business opportunities and best practices
  • Make data-driven decisions: translate data sets into impactful insights, recommendations, dashboards, and reports for the larger sales and operations teams
  • Communicate upwards and to peers on project strategy, status, expectations, deadlines, and results
  • Collect feedback and handle flow of inbound requests from the Global Restaurant Sales and Services (RSS) team for process and system enhancement requests; drive process optimization and training
  • Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards for various business scenarios
  • Act on feedback from the team for process and system enhancement requests
  • Have a strong understanding of revenue operations: goaling, commission plans, territory management, and recognition programs and SPIFs that help enable sales strategy
  • Improve Salesforce.com (SFDC) processes and data

Skills

  • Knowledge of SQL required
  • Experience in big data and understanding of databases
  • Experience in operations: sales goaling, territory management, commission plans, SPIF, etc
  • Must be able to speak the Salesforce.com language in order to make recommendations for processes and communicate effectively with our Business Optimization and Product teams
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Equivalent Google Sheets experience required
  • Professional experience in data analysis and ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues and make thoughtful recommendations and action plans
  • Operational experience in measuring and improving efficiency, utilization, scale initiatives etc.
  • Excellent communication and social skills; proven track record to successfully work and partner across multiple functions in an organization
  • High energy and contagious enthusiasm. Willing to take on tough projects and be a peer leader in order to support growth
  • Shown strong verbal and written communication skills; including detailing business processes, use cases, and business requirements
  • Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities, problem solving, negotiation, task and project coordination, and organization skills
  • Self-motivated and able to perform well under pressure and against bold deadlines, with minimal oversight from management
  • Excellent business liaison skills. Ability to digest system complexity and articulate to business users in concise and simple language
  • People management experience a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in an analytics role
  • 8+ years using data to make recommendations
  • College degree required

The expected range of compensation for this position based in Toronto, Canada, is $130,000-$145,000 CAD. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a compensation range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required.

We offer a competitive base salary and benefits including: health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave benefits. This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.
