POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance & Facilities Technician is responsible for performing a variety of routine and emergency maintenance to all Sierra Circuits, Inc. facilities and equipment as directed by the Maintenance & Faculties Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct periodic inspections on assigned equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (ISO Form 11-01-01-B).
  • Perform preventative maintenance work on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns, costly repairs, and the development of unsafe conditions.
  • Promptly respond to and complete job requisitions according to request forms and submit to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
  • Use proper tools and techniques to perform the required tasks in a professional and safe manner.
  • Research, order, and prepare spare parts needed with the most cost-effective solution.
  • Report any potential problems to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Be available for emergency maintenance.
  • May be required to operate a forklift.
  • May occasionally operate company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries.
  • Must practice safe driving habits.
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, AA degree in related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in the following trades: general building maintenance, electricity, carpentry and plumbing.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • Previous hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical tools and test instruments.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills and ability to generate reports of diagnoses of machines and completed task.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and good customer service skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day.
  • Ability to operate a forklift if needed.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required and clean driving record required


Hourly Rate Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
