Job Title: SolarWinds & SCOM Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a SolarWinds & SCOM Engineer responsible for configuring, monitoring, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SolarWinds and Microsoft SCOM, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to optimize monitoring solutions to ensure system availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain SolarWinds and SCOM environments.
  • Configure monitoring, alerts, dashboards, and notifications for servers, applications, and network devices.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot monitoring, network, server, and application-related issues.
  • Perform alert tuning and monitoring optimization to reduce false positives.
  • Manage management packs, monitoring templates, and custom monitoring requirements.
  • Generate reports and dashboards for operational and management reviews.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, application, and support teams to resolve incidents.
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.

Required Skills

  • 2-5 years of experience in SolarWinds and/or Microsoft SCOM administration.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, server, and network monitoring.
  • Experience with alert configuration, incident management, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server environments and networking fundamentals.
  • Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow ticketing workflows.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or cloud monitoring experience.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
  • Microsoft or SolarWinds certifications.
