Job description

Role: Java App Support Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Type: 12+Months Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support Java-based applications in production environments.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents within SLA timelines.
  • Investigate application logs and identify root causes of issues.
  • Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Work with Unix/Linux commands to monitor processes, review logs, and perform operational activities.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues.
  • Participate in incident management, problem management, and release support activities.
  • Document issue resolutions, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
  • Provide on-call support as required.

Required Skills:

  • Experience supporting applications developed in Java.
  • Good understanding of SQL with the ability to write queries for data analysis and validation.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell commands.
  • Knowledge of application logs and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Understanding of production support processes, including incident and problem management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
