Traffic Control Shop Laborer - Hiring for Minneapolis
Warning Lites of MN is expanding our team. We are looking to hire highly motivated individuals as TC Shop Laborer. Whether it is working in the warehouse or loading/unloading trucks, these key employees keep our day-to-day operations on track.
The Role:
As a Traffic Control Shop Laborer, your responsibilities will include performing shop work as required including preparing orders, cleaning and repairing equipment, and general housekeeping.
The Basics:
TC Shop Laborer don't mind the Minnesota weather and have a high regard for safety and excellent customer service. Successful candidates enjoy the physical demands of the position, are highly self-motivated, detailed, and take initiative to get the job done right while managing multiple tasks at once. We provide on-the-job training for the tasks that the TC Shop Laborer will need to perform but we do require the following:
    • Ability to work long hours during Spring/Summer/Fall months
    • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and an occasional holiday
    • Must have the ability to lift and carry heavy objects (70+ pounds) frequently and repetitively, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
  • Must have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Must have working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak and understand oral and written information
  • Organize and clean the shop/work area
  • Ability to work with hand tools/power tools
  • Experience in performing manual labor
  • Maintaining safety compliance in the shop and yard
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Preferred:
  • 3+ years of overall, consistent work experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Forklift experience or the ability to obtain one

Qualified candidates who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and criminal background check.
