Position Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for system architecture and providing key technical guidance in the full life cycle development and support of C++ code and related technologies in the user interface applications for Stereotaxis technologies. This role will design, develop, document, and test software written in the C++ language using Microsoft Visual Studio, and must be able to implement multiple complex software products within agreed schedule and budget.

Essential Responsibilities:
โ€ข Responsible for defining architecture of User Interface software for complex medical devices.
โ€ข Translate customer specifications for a software product into requirement specifications, defining architecture, and creating detailed designs.
โ€ข Code software using C++ language and Microsoft Visual Studio.
โ€ข Design, implement, debug, unit test and document assigned features.
โ€ข Develop robust and safe software intended for use in a medical device.
โ€ข Research and investigate new technologies that are applicable to the Stereotaxis product lines.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
โ€ข B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree highly preferred
โ€ข 5+ years relevant experience developing software highly preferred
โ€ข Proficient in C++ programming in Microsoft Visual Studio, MFC, and Qt environments
โ€ข Experience with Object Oriented Design, Patterns, multi-threading, STL
โ€ข Demonstrated ability of working with multiple complex software development projects and a thorough understanding of the complete software life cycle process
โ€ข Experience in the design and development of medical devices preferred
โ€ข Working knowledge of OpenGL and 3D software development preferred
โ€ข Experience with the design and development of embedded systems, working with motion controllers
โ€ข Understanding of network communication protocols and devices
โ€ข Familiarity with medical regulatory guidance for software, and FDA regulatory pathways including IDE and 510k
โ€ข Legally authorized to work in the United States
