Job description

As the Industrial & Process Engineering and Digitalization Supervisor you lead and develop engineers and technicians in supporting production through process optimization, robotics and automation programming, and digital tool development. Lead the implementation of new equipment and processes for product launches and capacity changes, while ensuring effective robot and cobot integration in collaboration with maintenance. Drive continuous improvement through digitalization, time studies, and initiatives focused on efficiency, material usage, and process stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise engineers and technicians in the provision of technical support to production, to include process support, robotics and automation tuning, programming and teaching, provision and maintenance of digital tools and processes.
  • Develop new equipment, tooling and processes in support of new product launches, capacity changes and production flexibility changes.
  • Provide programming services for robots and cobots. Develop and improve the integration of robots and cobots. Collaborate with equipment maintenance function to ensure max longevity and effectiveness of robots and cobots.
  • Develop, maintain, and use factory digitalization tools. Develop and maintain factory digitalization tools for use by other functions and departments (i.e., Maintenance, Production, Quality). Instruct others in how to use digitalization tools.
  • Conduct time studies and analyses. Improve operational efficiency through cycle reduction, material usage reduction, and process stabilization. 

Qualifications        

·         BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

·         2+ years’ Leadership

·         3+ years’ experience in PLC programming and debug

·         5+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturing

·         Experience in 6 axis robot programming

·         Experience managing product industrialization projects

·         Experience in factory digitalization inclusive of machine data acquisition and analysis (hardware & software)

·         Blow mold and injection molding experience (preferred)

·         KUKA certification and experience (preferred)

·         Siemens and Beckhoff experience (preferred)

·         Energy management software experience (preferred)

·         Industry 4.0 experience (preferred)

·         Relocation will be offered for this role
