Position Description: RN

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Observation Close team at St. Joseph's Hospital. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph's Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness. The Observation Close unit is a medical unit for Behavioral Health patients, patients at a high risk of fall, confused patients, and Baker Act patients.

The RN responsibilities include:

  • Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
  • Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
  • Professional accountability and development.
  • Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Qualifications:

Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
  • RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
  • ACLS Certification, if required by department
  • Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

Education:

  • Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

Experience:

  • 6 months of RN experience is required.
