Job description

Overview
The Case Manager Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for the preparation, recording and tracking of initial and retrospective payments for hospital services.
Responsibilities
Answers, directs and records departmental phone calls from a variety of sources (Insurance companies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Durable Medical Equipment, other health care providers, etc.) understanding priorities for the delivery of quality patient care. Coordinates with Discharge Planners for continuum of patient care, for example, durable medical equipment (DME) and Levels of Care.
Qualifications
Current CA RN license. Must be able to type a minimum of 45-55 wpm. Fluent in medical terminology. Must have strong communication and written grammatical skills. Current Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) certification.
