Responsibilities
Nurse Manager (RN) - Night Shift
This full-time opportunity offers 36 hours per week and full benefits. There is an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.
Full-Time night shift positions are eligible for our $20,000.00 sign-on bonus!
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.
In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women's trauma unit.
How will you make a difference at LBHH?
Nurse Managers at Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital deliver quality care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care.
Nurse Managers are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:
  • In conjunction with the ADON and hospital leadership, ensures integration of nursing services into overall organization operations.
  • Assist with personnel management duties including screening and selection of nursing staff, completing performance evaluations, and giving feedback to ADON and the Human Resources office.
  • Schedule nursing unit staff, assuring an appropriate staffing ratio based on patient acuity, adherence to nursing department FTE standards, and compliance with all holiday and other exceptions.
  • Monitor the day to day provision of psychiatric and chemical dependency nursing care, assisting on the unit only as necessary, and communicating problems/issues with ADON as they occur.
  • Participate in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring.
  • Oversee House Supervisors.

What Does LBHH Require for this Role?
  • A valid State of Pennsylvania Nursing (RN) (Registered Nurse) License is required.
  • One year of nursing supervision required.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
