Job description

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a casual, as needed Registered Nurse for our Clinical Observation Unit. We are looking for dynamic professional applicants who value customer service and a team mentality.
The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.
The Clinical Observation Unit can have a broad range of adult patients ambulatory and non-ambulatory, that meet initial criteria for observation. The department will serve to provide efficient protocol-based care to patients with well-defined diagnosis or presenting symptoms such as chest pain, COPD, asthma & congestive heart failure.
The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
  • AS/Diploma/Regency Degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in WV required.
  • Maintains CEUs for licensure.
  • Must maintain CPR.
  • Specialty certification preferred.
