Position Title: Compliance/Risk/Supportive Service Manager

Position Status: FT

  • TB skin test: Must have a test or provide proof of one within the past year.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or combination of experience and education in compliance, risk management and occupational health and safety.

Position Summary: Compliance/Risk/Supportive Service Manager will establish a high standard of ethical conduct for the organization and reduce loss of exposure to the company. Supportive Service Manager will establish a high standard of ethical conduct for the organization and conduct business for the organization demonstrating the mission and values of the company.

Skill Sets: Demonstrate good oral and written communications. Maintain supportive and encouraging working relationships with supervisor, leaders, stakeholders, and persons served. Basic computer skills are required. Must demonstrate knowledge of the company needs and future plans and be able to negotiate contracts as deemed necessary on behalf of the company. Demonstrate a non-judgmental and non-biased disposition regarding clients. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of OSHA guidelines for the organization’s safety/compliance programs.

Physical and Environmental Demands: Visual acuity and manual dexterity are needed for completing required paperwork. Frequent talking and hearing are needed for communicating with leaders, families, and other service providers. The physical demands are light with walking, standing, and occasional stooping. Possible exposure to communicable diseases can occur during contact with individuals released from various locations i.e. jails, hospitals, unsanitary conditions, rehabilitation centers, etc. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle with no more than 2 infractions within the last 3 years on their driving record.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Able to provide quality customer service to personnel, persons served, families and stakeholders.
  2. Help maintain the health, safety and welfare of personnel, person served and stakeholders.
  3. Develop and maintain a risk management plan
  4. Develop and maintain a risk/hazard observation register
  5. Develop and maintain a health and safety program
  6. Develop and maintain health and safety training
  7. Conduct all new hire safety orientation training
  8. Lead risk/safety & health meetings
  9. Conduct annual safety refresher training for personnel
  10. Run a motor vehicle report (MVR) on new hires who will operate a company vehicle
  11. Conduct a road test on all new hire drivers
  12. Conduct risk assessments
  13. Conduct hazard analysis
  14. Lead incident investigations
  15. Conduct root cause analysis
  16. Give recommendations for hazard/risk mitigation
  17. Maintain and submit all OSHA logs and other regulatory agencies.
  18. Monitor and promote reduction of TRIR, DART, LTCR
  19. Prepare Risk Management and Safety plans and follow ups in accordance to CARF standards.
  1. Develop a checklist to monitor safety drills and inspections.
  2. Assist in quality assurance of the agency.
  3. Ensure annual financial audits are conducted, and findings are addressed with CFO and CEO.
  4. Ensure medical record audits are conducted, and findings are addressed
  5. Responsible for auditing a sample of files and documenting findings in the following departments:

a. Human Resources

b. Billing

c. Clinical

d. Medical

e. Admissions/Transportation

f. Risk Management

g. Marketing

  1. Participate in quarterly and annual strategic planning meetings.
  2. Ensure compliance with CARF reporting standards.
  3. Other duties as assigned.
