Senior Associate, Project Manager | Retail Bank Operations & Market Experience (Hybrid)

As a Project Manager within the Retail Bank, you will bridge the missions of the Cafe and Branch Action Management team and the Financial Oversight, Reporting, & Controls Execution team. You will help bring the Retail Banks Market Experience Transformation strategy to life while overseeing Retail Bank's Real Estate Operations and Capital Investment financial controls.

General Responsibilities:

Strategic Project Management

  • Execute project plans to ensure delivery, which includes adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements

  • Identify risks and issues to mitigate or escalate as needed, managing complex up and downstream project impacts

  • Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes

Financial & Real Estate Operations

  • Create and process Journal Entries to distribute Operating and Capital spend across Capital One's Retail Real Estate Portfolio

  • Review and monitor Capital Project financial closeout documentation, ensuring financial controls and governance are adhered to

  • Create and track 3rd party POs for Retail Facility Management Operations and Retail Construction Projects

  • Support other Retail Bank Real Estate Management initiatives including OpEx and Vendor Analysis, Utility Analysis and Reporting, and Tenant Improvement Allowance (TIA)

Collaboration & Partnership

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

  • Work closely with key partners and stakeholders across Retail Bank, Finance, Real Estate Administration, and 3rd party vendors

  • Proactively keep stakeholders informed on project status, translating technical or financial updates into clear action items for cross-functional partners

  • Participate and contribute to larger organization meetings and summits

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of project management, process management, relationship management, or risk management experience

  • At least 1 year utilizing Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) products, such as Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.

  • 3+ years of project management or process management experience

  • 3+ years of 3rd party vendor management experience

  • 1+ year of Accounting or Finance experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma Certification

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Project Manager


Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager


Wilmington, DE: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager









Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
