The Senior Manager, Retail Marketing owns the end-to-end retail go-to-market process for priority products, categories and promotions, translating brand, merchandising and vendor priorities into coordinated campaigns that drive traffic, sales, customer loyalty and franchisee participation. The role leads each campaign from the business objective and customer proposition through creative development, digital and media coordination, franchisee activation, store-level execution and performance review.

On a daily basis our Senior Manager, Retail Marketing:

Retail Go-to-Market Strategy and Calendar

  • Own the annual retail marketing calendar and end-to-end go-to-market plans for seasonal campaigns, priority categories, product launches and promotions.

  • Partner with merchandising and key vendors to identify joint marketing opportunities, develop compelling product stories and translate vendor investments into coordinated retail campaigns.

  • Create campaign briefs that define the commercial objective, target customer, offer, message, deliverables, timing, owners and success measures.

  • Translate Pinch A Penny's brand positioning into customer experiences that build awareness, traffic, sales and loyalty across retail, pool service and repair.

Campaign and Store Execution

  • Lead integrated national, seasonal and local campaigns, promotions, service programs and product launches from concept through store implementation.

  • Connect each campaign's strategy and creative concept to the customer's experience at the store's front door, including signage, promotional materials, store-team guidance and implementation standards.

  • Establish clear accountability across merchandising, creative, digital, media, operations, training and franchise communications so campaigns move from concept to execution without fragmented ownership.

  • Equip franchisees with ready-to-use toolkits, local assets and implementation guidance, then monitor adoption, gather field feedback and address execution gaps.

Creative, Brand and Partner Management

  • Manage creative briefs, workflow, reviews, approvals and production, directing agencies and other resources to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.

  • Maintain consistent brand identity, storytelling, tone and messaging across stores and customer-facing channels.

  • Partner with Digital Marketing by providing campaign objectives, offers, audiences, messages and assets for channel and media activation. Digital Marketing owns digital channels, media, CRM and attribution.

  • Manage vendor-funded, cooperative and local marketing programs while protecting Pinch A Penny's brand and customer priorities.

  • Coordinate shared creative needs for broader company initiatives, including franchise development, when assigned.

Insights, Measurement and Continuous Improvement

  • Define success measures and evaluate campaigns using retail sales, traffic, transactions, category performance, franchisee adoption, customer engagement, brand health and ROI.

  • Use customer insights, market trends, competitive activity, field feedback and post-campaign results to improve future programs.

  • Manage assigned budgets and track agency, production and program expenses.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.

  • Five or more years of retail, brand, integrated marketing or creative-services experience. Multi-location, franchise or service-based experience is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated campaigns, promotions and product launches from concept through execution and measurement.

  • Strong understanding of retail marketing, merchandising activation, franchisee or field execution and local marketing.

  • Experience developing creative briefs and managing creative workflow, agencies, production resources and multiple concurrent deadlines.

  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and project-management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to connect marketing activity to retail performance and use results to improve future programs.

  • Working knowledge of marketing technology, project-management tools and digital marketing channels.
