Key Retail Merchandiser Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule: Part Time, 5 days/week, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday 6AM - 12PM
  • Merchandising & Product Care: Maintain attractive, well-stocked produce displays by rotating product, removing unsellable items, and ensuring freshness and quality standards are met.
  • Retail Strategy Execution: Implement retail sales and merchandising strategies to support product movement and promotional programs.
  • Sales Analysis: Research and analyze store demographics, competition, and sales trends, within the produce department.
  • Category Management: Evaluate product mix, promotional effectiveness, and merchandising programs to maximize sales volume.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Buying and Sales teams to develop and execute weekly promotions.
  • Store Support & Organization: Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Administrative & Team Participation: Attend meetings, follow company policies and procedures, provide updates to supervisors, and perform other duties as assigned.

Retail Merchandiser Qualifications

  • Age (Required): Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience (Preferred): At least 1 year of experience in retail or produce merchandising, or sales experience within the retail or grocery industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members, customers, and leadership.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications and ability to learn company systems.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with retail partners.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, understand sales trends, and make informed merchandising decisions.
  • Time Management & Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
