Job description

The Escrow Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team that coordinates the preparation and execution of closing documents with buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals. This role oversees the accurate and timely disbursement of funds while ensuring all transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements. In addition, the Escrow Manager cultivates and maintains strong relationships with agents and clients, supporting business growth through networking, community engagement, and participation in industry events. The role is for our Caliber Title office in Eau Claire, WI.

Core Responsibilities
  • Represent Caliber Title at Keller Williams office events and industry networking functions, fostering relationships with real estate professionals and generating opportunities for business growth.
  • Lead and manage a team of Escrow Officers, overseeing all operational functions as listed below.

Team responsibility

Coordinating

  • Responsible for entering closing figures and balancing files in ResWare Software.
  • Acts as the liaison between Realtors and lenders prior to closing.
  • Work with the lender to obtain Lender's Closing Package and Final CD (applicable for deals that are not classified as a cash deal).
  • Responsible for responding and handling emails and phone calls from borrower, agent, lenders, and any other persons involved with a transaction according to our CX guidelines.
  • Submits requests to Clearance Team for review of title clearance items and preparation of miscellaneous required documents for closing.
  • Reviews file's supporting documentation, such as mortgage payoff statements, paid assessment letters, commission statements, tax bills, and anything else specific to file.

Escrow

  • Enter closing figures into the Closing Disclosure (Buyer/Seller CD) and Settlement Statement within Resware
  • Review title commitments and coordinate the collection of required title clearance items
  • Review mortgage payoffs to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Audit invoices, bills, and commission statements for accuracy
  • Prepare, print, and organize all miscellaneous documents required for closing
  • Attend and facilitate real estate closings, greeting buyers, sellers, agents while ensuring all required documents and identification are in place prior to commencement
  • Ensure the closing package is properly executed, including all required signatures and dates
  • Serve as the liaison between Realtors and lenders during the closing process
  • Balance and disburse funds within Resware in accordance with lender instructions and seller attorney closing statements

Requirements

  • 3-5 years previous title company experience and/or bachelors' degree or established business background required.
  • Active Notary Public commission in the State required
  • Strong ability to work professionally and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
