Job description

Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, the Financial Reporting Manager owns a defined portfolio of quarterly financial reporting deliverables - includingthe note disclosures, the consolidated statement of cash flows, intangible assets, and purchase price allocations and related acquisition accounting- and serves as a review and first-escalation point for these areas. The role ensures accuracy, IFRS compliance, and the timely delivery of quarterly reporting deliverables.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own the preparation and review of assigned quarterly financial reporting deliverables in accordance with IFRS, including note disclosures, the consolidated statement of cash flows, intangible assets, purchase price allocations (PPAs), and net tangible asset (NTA) workbooks.

  • Act as a review and escalation point for the areas owned, supporting the Director of Financial Reporting and helping ensure the quality and completeness of quarter-end output.

  • Perform detailed second reviews of supporting workpapers, reconciliations, and completeness checks.

  • Coordinate with business unit finance teams to obtain, validate, and follow up on the inputs required for quarter-end deliverables.

  • Support the consolidation of financial results across the group.

  • Work with internal and external auditors on assigned areas and respond to audit queries on a timely basis.

  • Monitor the operating effectiveness of financial reporting controls within scope and review the quality of output from control operators.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance on assigned areas and support the development of junior team members.

  • Meet quarter-end reporting deadlines and proactively flag risks and key judgment calls to the Director.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance environment, including quarter-end financial reporting.

  • CPA designation.

  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across business units.

  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

The potential salary for this position ranges from $ $87,500 and $105,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity. We offer a competitive total compensation package including health benefits, a pension plan with matching contributions, stock options, and career development opportunities.
