Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Reporting & Insights based in Netherlands.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of reporting and insights within a global, remote-first technology environment. You will own the vision and execution of reporting experiences that help customers and internal teams make confident, data-driven decisions. Working at the intersection of product, engineering, design, data, and business operations, you will transform complex workforce, payroll, finance, and compliance data into intuitive and trusted solutions. You will drive product strategy, improve data accessibility, and enable smarter AI-powered workflows. This is a high-impact opportunity for a product leader who combines technical depth, customer empathy, and strong execution skills.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Product Manager, Reporting & Insights, you will lead the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of reporting capabilities that deliver measurable value to customers and internal teams. You will work across multiple functions to define priorities, build scalable solutions, and ensure reporting experiences are accurate, intuitive, and trusted.

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for reporting and insights experiences, including dashboards, report builders, exports, APIs, scheduled delivery, and AI-assisted insights.
  • Understand customer needs across payroll, finance, HR, operations, executives, and partner teams to translate workflows and challenges into clear product priorities.
  • Build trusted reporting foundations, including standardized reports, configurable reporting tools, data definitions, permissions, lineage, auditability, and reconciliation capabilities.
  • Partner closely with engineering, data, design, security, legal, sales, customer success, and operations teams to deliver scalable and reliable product solutions.
  • Use customer feedback, analytics, and business metrics to measure adoption, engagement, accuracy, trust, and overall product impact.
  • Identify opportunities where AI, automation, anomaly detection, and intelligent recommendations can improve decision-making while maintaining transparency and compliance.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders, manage trade-offs effectively, and ensure teams remain focused on delivering meaningful customer outcomes.
  • Promote strong product practices by balancing customer value, technical feasibility, operational excellence, and long-term scalability.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior product leader with strong technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and experience building data-driven products in complex environments. You should be comfortable working with engineering teams, analyzing technical challenges, and translating business needs into scalable product strategies.

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, with a strong focus on reporting, analytics, data platforms, workflow products, or insights-driven solutions.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to understand cloud architectures, APIs, data models, schemas, and modern software development practices.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and/or Claude Code, with the ability to build, debug, and prototype functional solutions independently.
  • Strong data literacy, including experience with data models, lineage, reporting logic, SQL validation, metrics definitions, and troubleshooting data quality issues.
  • Ability to understand complex reporting requirements and translate them into simple, user-friendly product experiences.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders around product priorities and business outcomes.
  • Strong UX mindset with a passion for creating intuitive, trustworthy, and accessible user experiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and data-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Business-level proficiency in English.
  • Experience in HR technology, payroll, finance, compliance, or B2B SaaS products is a strong advantage.
  • Experience incorporating AI capabilities into customer-facing products is highly desirable.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work environment with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • Flexible working hours and an asynchronous work culture.
  • Competitive compensation package with location-based salary considerations.
  • Base salary range of approximately $60,000-$135,000 depending on location, experience, skills, and market factors.
  • Stock options.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Mental health support services.
  • Learning and development budget.
  • Home office budget and company-provided IT equipment.
  • Support for local in-person events and coworking opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work with a globally distributed team and contribute to the future of work technology.
