Job description

CFA Institute is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to improve organisational delivery procedures and implement operational plans that enable effective, predictable delivery across our products and technology projects. You'll bring advanced delivery expertise to complex initiatives, working across multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes while helping shape best practices that strengthen delivery across the organisation.

This is a highly autonomous role where you'll balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery leadership, applying sound judgement to solve complex challenges and continuously improve the way work is delivered.

What You'll Do

  • Improve and refine delivery procedures, standards and practices to enhance organisational effectiveness and consistency.

  • Implement operational delivery plans aligned to strategic objectives and portfolio priorities.

  • Lead the delivery of medium to large technology initiatives using Agile methodologies.

  • Coordinate release planning, dependency management and production readiness across complex programmes.

  • Monitor delivery performance, key metrics and outcomes, providing analysis and reporting to senior leadership.

  • Manage delivery risks, dependencies and competing priorities across multiple teams and business functions.

  • Develop and implement new delivery approaches where existing processes are insufficient.

  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality standards and internal delivery processes.

  • Coach and support colleagues in Agile practices, delivery discipline and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivery management, project management or Agile leadership within technology environments.

  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced understanding of delivery management principles with the ability to apply them across complex delivery environments.

  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

  • Ability to influence outcomes, solve complex delivery challenges and balance competing priorities.

Expected salary range: US - $92,500 - $123,000 per year

Actual salary within the stated range will depend on the individual's experience, qualifications, skills, location, and other job-related factors. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive bonus, a 12% employer contribution to a pension plan, and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
