Title: Systems Manager
Reports To: Assistant Director of Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $80,000.00-82,000.00
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with experience and/or training in educational technology
  • Experience in design and management of local and wide area networks, web servers, e-mail servers and operating systems
  • Experience with student management software applications
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain district systems such as student information systems (SIS), learning management systems (LMS), HR/finance platforms, MDM platforms, Resource Management systems, assessment tools, and communication systems.
  • Oversee system updates, integrations, permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for applicable applications as needed.
  • Ensure reliable access and performance across all campuses.
  • Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and security across all district platforms.
  • Develop disaster recovery plans including backup and recovery of systems and data.
  • Coordinate state and federal reporting requirements, including enrollment, attendance, assessments, staffing, and accountability metrics.
  • Generate reports for administrators, departments, and school leadership teams.
  • Serve as a primary contact for system-related issues; provide technical assistance to staff, administrators, and support teams.
  • Management of IT staff and ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with instructional technology, IT support, and operations teams to ensure systems align with teaching, learning, and administrative needs.
  • Oversee lifecycle workflow for all devices and software.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and support resources.
  • Monitor system security protocols to protect sensitive student and staff data.
  • Ensure district systems comply with SOPPA, FERPA, state laws, and district policies.
  • Assist with implementing cybersecurity best practices and staff training initiatives.
  • Lead or assist in the rollout of new platforms, upgrades, or districtwide technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate vendor involvement, timelines, testing, training, and communication.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing workflows and systems.
  • Provide training sessions for administrators, teachers, and staff on system use, reporting tools, and data processes.
  • Support the development of resources that improve staff digital literacy and system proficiency.
  • Research, compile, assimilate, support, and prepare accurate and organized documents, projects, presentations, and reports
  • Assist with department budget development, coordinate purchase orders for the department, and oversee accounts.
  • Attend professional development opportunities and engage in ongoing education in order to support a system of learning and improvement and the overall efficiency and functioning of the organization, including staff meetings.
