Power Platform & AI Architect

Location: Type: Contract / Full‑Time

Location: Houston, TX

Role Summary

Seeking a senior‑level Power Platform & AI Architect to design and lead enterprise‑scale AI, automation, and Power Platform solutions. This role partners with business and technology leaders to define architecture, integration patterns, governance, and delivery frameworks across Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI, and the Power Platform ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

  • Architect end‑to‑end enterprise solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Document Intelligence, Logic Apps, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to align solution design with enterprise standards and business goals.
  • Design scalable, secure, high‑performing AI and automation solutions for internal apps, external portals, and modernization initiatives.
  • Analyze business requirements, evaluate solution alternatives, and define target‑state architecture, integration patterns, and security controls.
  • Build intelligent document processing, conversational AI, enterprise search, workflow automation, and case management solutions.
  • Define Dataverse data architecture including entities, security roles, business rules, and integration strategies.
  • Lead estimation, architecture reviews, governance, and reusable design standards.
  • Drive multiple enterprise‑scale digital transformation, automation, or AI‑enabled solution implementations.
  • Support requirement gathering, solution shaping, scope definition, and guide delivery teams through design decisions.


Must‑Have Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry for enterprise AI workflows.
  • Hands‑on expertise with Azure OpenAI for generative AI, prompt orchestration, and knowledge‑grounded use cases.
  • Deep experience with Azure AI Search for RAG, indexing, and enterprise search applications.
  • Expertise in Azure Document Intelligence (OCR, form processing, structured extraction, custom/composed models).
  • Strong proficiency in Logic Apps for integration orchestration and API‑based workflows.
  • Advanced experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power Pages (architecture + development).
  • Skilled in designing secure Dataverse data models, RBAC, and environment strategies.
  • Experience building external‑facing portals using Power Pages.
  • Foundational knowledge of Azure services, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, REST APIs, authentication/authorization, and Power Platform governance.
  • Experience with ALM, deployment pipelines, and governance for Power Platform and Azure solutions.
