Job description

We are seeking a motivated Mid-level Snowflake Developer to join our Master Data Management (MDM) team. You will play a pivotal role in architecting, optimizing, and securing our Snowflake environment to ensure a "single source of truth" for the organization's data analytics and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise in cloud data warehousing, a disciplined approach to data governance, and the analytical mindset to translate business ambiguity into technical reality.
Key Responsibilities
MDM & Snowflake Architecture

  • Data Modeling: Design and implement efficient schemas (Star/Snowflake) that support complex MDM workflows.
  • Pipeline Optimization: Collaborate with data engineering to streamline data ingestion from sources like Salesforce.
  • Technical Scoping & Roadmap: Deconstruct complex business requirements into high-level technical designs and granular, actionable tasks for the development sprint.
  • Agile Coordination: Actively participate in Sprint planning and stand-ups to provide effort estimations, identify technical dependencies, and communicate progress to non-technical partners.
  • Impact Analysis: Evaluate how new data requirements or schema changes will impact downstream Tableau reporting and existing MDM lifecycles.

Security, Governance & Support
  • Access Control: Configure and manage advanced security services, including RBAC and data masking.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a technical bridge between BI, Retail services, and other teams to translate requirements into high-performance solutions.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide Tier-2 support for complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior team members in understanding the complete data analytics stack and workflow.

Qualifications & Tech Stack
Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years working with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms
  • Analytical Depth: Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, database design, and the MDM lifecycle.

Technical & Professional Skills
  • SQL : Proficiency in writing complex, optimized queries.
  • Python: Ability to automate data workflows and perform advanced data manipulation.
  • Visualization & CRM: Experience with Tableau and familiarity with Salesforce data structures.
  • Project Fluency: Proficiency in task management tools (e.g., Jira) and a proven ability to document technical specifications into actionable tasks.
